Renet is a teenage denzien of the 79th Dimension of Null-Time. She is an apprentice Timestress learning under Lord Simultaneous. Like so many teenagers, Renet is curious and impatient and thus hates studying. This leads to her fooling around and stealing her master's Time Scepter. Just as he catcher her, she escapes to Earth and meets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the first time. She becomes fast friends with the Turtle Brothers only for her master to appear once more. In a panic, she sends herself and the Turtles back into a castle siege.

Savanti Romero a former and now exiled Time Lord controls the castle with his control of black magic. He is able to steal the Time Sceptre from Renet which forces the heroes to ally with Cerebus the Aadvark and his soldiers to take it back. The heroes reach Savanti but are no match for his dark magic. Thankfully, Lord Simultaneous appears and its able to regain his sceptre before sending Romero back to prehistoric times. With the villain dispatched, he gives Cerebus the stolen scrolls he is after and returns the Turtles home. He then punishes Renet by making her dust his library for two weeks.

Renet does eventually knuckle down on her studies and gains more responsibility along with more abilities. When Savanti escapes his prison and challenges the Turtles again, Renet comes to her friends' aid. She helps them defeat Savanti another time before banishing him back to the age of the dinosaurs.

She peeks in on her friends from time to time, but with age begins to learn that she shouldn't tamper with the time stream as much. She does make an exception by appearing at Splinter's funeral.

Renet first meets the (IDW) Turtles when she “invites” (ie, kidnaps) the Turtles to the interdimensional Battle Nexus Tournament. Councilor Nieli, a member of the Dimensional Council, uses the Battle Nexus Tournaments to exercise his bloodlust. He forces the members to battle to the death in merciless fights that only he enjoys.

Renet, under the direction of her teacher Lord Simultaneous, brings the Turtles to help the champion Baltizar instigate an uprising against Nieli. Once they succeed, the games return to a more joyous exercise in athletic excellence as they had been before and Nieli is banished from the realms. The Turtles are accidentally cast through time after this and aided by Renet in getting home to New York.

Savanti Romero attemps to steal Utrom technology in the past only for a much older and wiser Renet to arrive in time to stop him. She is then attacked by Bebop and Rocksteady, who are hurtling through time on their own adventures, allowing Savanti to steal her Time Scepter. He uses the Scepter to wound Renet and flees to the future as the younger Renet arrives to see herself. The elder Renet tells her to get the scepter back and remove the gem before activating her stasis beacon.

After a series of increasingly complicated events, including multiversal Bebops and Rocksteadys, the younger Renet is able to send Savanti back to the past and put everything right. She then removes the gem from the elder Renet's Scepter. The gem heals Elder Renet who smiles at her younger self and promises that they “did everything right.”
