HypeTrain: Numbercrunching Masters of Time Brick Pulls

Posted August 5th, 2024 by Joe Pangrazio

Thanks to our friends at Wizkids, I got to open a brick of Masters of Time. For people interested in that kind of thing, I'm going to post my pulls below to give you an idea of what you can expect in a Brick.

It's a little dry, but let's see how it goes.

Commons
001 Batman
002 Velociraptor (x2)
003 Deadman
004 Animal Man
005 Detective Chimp (x2)
006 Mister Mind
007 Trick Arrow (x2)
008 Booster Gold
009 Jinny Hex
010 Prehistoric Warrior
011 League Assassin
012 Easy Company Soldier
013 Blackhawk Pilot
014 Time Trapper (x2)
015 Superman (x2)
016 Daxamite

Uncommons
019 Wonder Woman
022 Supernova
023 Red Arrow
024 Beast Boy
025 Cinnamon
026 Anthro (Plus his Team Up card from Jurassic Booster)
027 Talia Al'Ghul
028 Sgt. Rock
029 Lady Blackhawk
030 Hal Jordan
031 Superboy

Rares
033 Batman
036 Green Arrow
038 Supergirl
039 Nighthawk
041b Reverse-Flash (Prime)
042 G.I. Robot
043b Blue Beetle (Prime)

Super Rares
051a Madame Xanadu
052 Darkseid

072 Green Torch

Takeaways:
Getting all the Commons and a lot of Uncommons in one brick seems like a win. Getting duplicates of Trick Arrows and generics is also a win. Getting duplicates of Superman and Time Trapper (when Daxamites are right there) doesn't feel great, since you're likely to double up on those named characters anyway if you buy a case.

Getting two very good Primes almost makes up for only pulling two Super Rares and no Chase. This seems to incentivize case purchases. But even if you were to buy this brick, you're getting two powerful primes and a very good Super Rare in Darkseid.

I like the blister pack for the Jurassic figure but I wish there was a better solution for the standard size figure packaged with it. Even those small plastic boxes we used to get in Gravity Feeds (along with bubble wrap) would offer greater protection, in my opinion. Though, I also feel like two figures is a little light for these boosters and what prices they will probably command. Though, the addition of Team Up Cards does feel good. Maybe Legacies in there, as well, would have balanced out the price.

And that's all I have for today. Again, thanks to Wizkids for the opportunity to unbox a brick and thanks to all of you for watching the videos and reading this article.
